Capturing the moment. This is how I think about photography. Whether catching something interesting on city streets, getting the perfect look in a portrait, or my puppy’s goofy smile, these moments are what draw me to photography.

I was gifted a camera from my wonderful wife and parents over the holidays in 2018. I jumped in head first and couldn’t put down the camera. Primarily taking photos on my commute to and from work, I quickly fell in love with street photography. For years I had kept my head down and avoided all interactions on the streets. With a camera in my hands I started to look and see just how much was going on around me.

I discovered my favorite part of street photography was the human element. I wanted people to notice me and pay attention to the camera. That’s when I started developing my portrait photography skills.

Somehow I knew I’d end up working with film photography. I bought a cheap rangefinder and was immediately hooked. I enjoy the slower process and thought behind shooting film. I also enjoy developing the film and watching science and art work together to make something awesome!
